Multi Diamond Dressing Tools
PIOFINE Multi-diamond Dressing tools consist of a number of well-grown natural diamonds in 1 or 3 layers, sintered into a special wear-resistant bond. These Diamond Dressers are ideal for rough and heavy dressing operations of grinding wheels with grain sizes of up to 80 (mainly for roughing and re-balancing). Tool-life can be fully exploited without resetting of diamonds, thus decreasing dressing costs by increasing the diamond / price ratio. Their aggressiveness allowes for fast dressing and will produce constantly sharp and even wheel-surfaces. Multi-diamond Dressers are less sensitive to jolts and starting operation impact.
Application Hints
In order to fully exploit the advantages of multi-diamond dressers, the top area of the dresser should contact the grinding-wheel surface at 90 degrees. Feed per dressing stroke should not exceed 0.01 - 0.05mm. Feeding speed should not exceed 0.3 - 1.5mm per revolution. Sufficient cooling is required for prolonged tool-life. Cooling should be introduced before starting the dressing operation.
